Posted by The transgender star Idris Okuneye, better known by his stage name Bobrisky, was handed a six-month prison term without the possibility of a fine by a Lagos Federal High Court.
You may remember that following his arrest and arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFFC), Bobrisky was found guilty by Justice Abimbola Awogboro last week on Friday, April 5, 2024, for tampering with and abusing Naira notes.

Following Bobrisky’s guilty plea to four counts of EFCC-filed charges of tampering with N490,000 by spraying, the court set a date for punishment.
Justice Awogboro ruled that the verdict will dissuade those who abuse and damage Nigerian currency.
On the other hand, Bobrisky’s arrest date of March 24, 2024, is the day the judge ordered the prison term to begin.
Before the judge handed down the punishment, there was a little drama in Friday’s courtroom: the judge wanted to know Bobrisky’s sex, and he promptly said he was a guy.
