The Reasons Behind Enenche’s Decision to Cease Testimony of a NOUN Graduate — Dunamis

Following the incident at Sunday’s church service regarding Ms. Anyim Veronica’s academic status, the headquarters of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja stated that its senior pastor, Dr. Paul Enenche, had no intention of harming, hurting, or embarrassing her in any way.

The day before, on Saturday, Veronica had testified that she had earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Law from NOUN. However, Pastor Enenche became enraged and interrupted, accusing the woman of lying since, in his view, there was no B.Sc degree in law and either she got an LL.B or she didn’t go to school at all.

Photos from Miss Veronica Anyim’s graduation ceremony and a list verifying her graduation from NOUN’s Department of Law have gone viral on social media, drawing criticism from online users who have demanded an apology from the church and its senior pastor.

While the event was reported in both traditional and social media, the Dunamis International Gospel Centre issued a statement on Monday night defending themselves and their senior pastor, Sylvester Edoh. The statement claimed that the reports had been taken out of context.

Ms. Anyim Veronica Nnenna became the first person in her family to graduate from university on Sunday, April 14, 2024, at the Glory Dome, the Global Headquarters of Dunamis International Gospel Centre. She testified about how God helped her achieve this feat.

“The following events immediately set in motion the aforementioned scenario:
A graduate, and particularly a law school graduate, should be able to meet at least the minimal requirement of basic spoken English, as is evident from listening to the witness’s expressions.
