Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has urged the South East Zone leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to put their power and influence to use for the benefit of the people.

After being appointed as the APC leader in the zone, Uzodimma made these remarks during a gathering of APC stakeholders in Owerri, the capital of Imo State. He urged party members to recommit to his leadership.

Following a meeting with several zone APC leaders, the governor issued a call to the party’s faithful, saying, “come together to serve the people of the zone and avoid the pull him down syndrome which is common among politicians.”

He thanked those responsible for planning the zonal stakeholders gathering, calling it significant as well as crucial.

According to the governor, the high attendance at the conference “shows new attitude and incremental awareness on the political demands of the zone.” He expressed his joy at the turnout of Party members.

He applauded President Bola Tinubu and Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the national chairman of the APC, for realizing that the South East is a marginalized zone and for collaborating with stakeholders to de-marginalize it.
