The hearing for Manchester City’s 115 financial charges will be held in the “near future,” according to Premier League chief Richard Masters.

City was hit with 115 individual accusations of financial fair play (FFP) violations by the Premier League between 2009 and 2018, according to an announcement made in February 2023.

Last year, when the accusations were issued, the club released a statement saying, “Manchester City FC is surprised by the issuing of these alleged breaches of the Premier League Rules, particularly given the extensive engagement and vast amount of detailed materials that the EPL has been provided with.”

The Premier League chief executive officer hinted that City’s appeal hearing will be in the “near future” when addressing at a news conference for European Leagues in London on Friday. Nobody specified a date.

“We can’t comment on the case, the date is set,” he stated. There will be a resolution to this matter soon.

The charges against City are far more complicated due of their historical nature compared to the more recent trials involving Everton and Nottingham Forest.
