Idris Okuneye, better known by his stage name Bobrisky, has been granted bail by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) but has so far failed to follow the terms of that release.

On Thursday, EFCC Spokesperson Dele Oyewale acknowledged that he had been released on bond but had failed to fulfill the requirements.

“He (Bobrisky) has been granted administrative bail but yet to meet bail conditions,” he claims.

Just in case you forgot, the Lagos Zonal Command of the EFCC seized Bobrisky on Wednesday on charges of naira misuse, currency mutilation, and spraying naira notes.

“Bobrisky is with us,” Oyewale had said earlier. He was taken into custody at our Lagos command last night. Several charges, including money mutilation, spraying of nara notes, and abuse of naira notes, led to his detention.

Returning the naira to its rightful place is an issue that we take very seriously. Even though we have not concluded our investigation yet, he will undoubtedly face charges in the near future.
