Using football as a platform, the competition aims to present mechanics as the unsung heroes of their profession. Hyde Energy hopes to recognize and appreciate the mechanics of Nigeria for their significant contributions to the country’s automotive industry through this program.

The chief executive of Hyde Energy, Mr. DimejI Edwards, stated that the “Hyde Cup” competition is about more than simply football. He noted that it is an opportunity to celebrate the mechanics and their partners while also highlighting their talent and commitment. “Through organizing sports events, our goal is to give mechanics an unforgettable experience, influence public opinion, and bring attention to their significant role in the community.”

“The Lagos state government is excited with Hyde Energy for putting together this initiative,” said Honourable Commissioner Alhaji Mobolaji Ogunlende, who serves as the commissioner for the Lagos state and the ministry of youth and social development, during his speech at the launch. Hyde Energy, NATA (the Nigerian Automobile Technicians Association), and Lagos State are working together on this project to improve society. More organizations should follow this lead.
