The vice president, Kashim Shettima, has paid tribute to Ogbonnaya Onu, who died on Thursday, praising his legacy as the former governor of Abia State and minister of science and technology.
The vice president’s sympathy statement praised Dr. Onu, calling him a “true statesman and accomplished Nigerian leader” whose influence on Nigeria’s politics and technology has been “immeasurable.”
