Posted by Sir Siminalayi Fubara, the governor of Rivers State, has branded as false the rumoured list of PDP Caretaker Committee members for the state that has been making the rounds on national and social media platforms.
The governor criticized the list, saying it was created by those who were seeking cheap media and trying to cause a crisis, even though they should have known better.
He announced that the party’s national leadership had just met and decided to keep PDP executives in states where their terms had ended for further three months as caretakers.
Fubara made it clear that the existing number of officers should not be increased or any current officer(s) should be dismissed; this decision is still pending ratification by the National Executive Council (NEC).
