Ex-vice chairman of the APC, Lukman, Steals from North Central Zone

According to Salihu Mohammed Lukman, a former national vice chairman (North West) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the North Central zone is being neglected in terms of party leadership.

According to Lukman, the present Deputy Senate President, Senator Barau Jibrin, is from Kano in North West, but the job should be moved to the North Central zone in order to fix the constitutional anomaly.

The National Executive Committee (NEC) has not met in the eight months that you have been party chairman, according to a letter that Lukaman sent to Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on April 2, 2024, but which was made public to reporters on Wednesday.

In his repeated assertion that Ganduje’s elevation to the position of national chairman is in direct violation of the APC Constitution, he emphasized that the North Central zone’s Nasarawa State is justifiably entitled to have Ganduje and the position of Deputy Senate President elevated to office.

Please do all in your power to restore constitutional order in the APC as soon as possible. Additionally, I am hoping that the party’s organs, notably the NEC, will convene soon to assess the current state of affairs, discuss the obstacles the party is facing, and find a solution to the problem of a North Central leadership bias.
