Despite the Dutch club’s best efforts, the former manager of Chelsea and Brighton, Potter, was not interested in joining Ajax at the moment.
This comes four months after Sky Sports News said the same thing, claiming that Manchester United were considering the former Brighton coach as a strong possibility to replace Erik ten Hag as manager this summer.
For the possible position at Old Trafford, Potter’s work at Brighton is an asset, and he has also collaborated with Dan Ashworth, the current Sporting Director at Newcastle who the Red Devils are hoping to lure away from the club.
Potter, who is 48 years old, has not had a job since being let go from his position at Stamford Bridge a year ago.
