Academic Olomolaiye Acquires Pro Chancellorship and Doctoral Degrees

Lord Lieutenant Peaches Golden, who is the King’s Representative for the Greater Bristol, Pro Vice-Chancellor Professor Elena Marco, and Mayor Marvin Rees OBE were among the dignitaries in attendance at the event, which took place at Bristol Cathedral.

Reports indicate that Professor Olomolaiye has been a steadfast pioneer in improving education and encouraging innovation in Bristol and beyond.
Olomolaiye’s friends and colleagues have paid tribute to his four decades of teaching and research, noting that he has had a profound impact on engineering and, by extension, the scientific and artistic communities.

Professor Olomolaiye is a visionary leader who has been instrumental in transforming the educational landscape at UWE Bristol through her advocacy of programs that foster diversity, inclusion, and excellence. Changes at the university and in the surrounding community have been greatly aided by his dedication to student empowerment and the promotion of academic excellence.

A statement released by the Olomolaiye Committee of Friends praised Prof. Olomolaiye’s extraordinary achievements and the significant impact he has had on education, research, and community participation. The committee noted that conferring the Pro Chancellorship and the honorary Doctor of Engineering degree upon him is a monument to his accomplishments.
