Renowned for his candid and often controversial opinions on Twitter, a social media personality known as Otumba has sparked a heated debate by targeting Ilebaye’s fans who recently presented her with a sizable 3.5 million Naira along with an assortment of gifts and cash prizes.

Otumba branded those contributing money for Ilebaye as “daft.” His reason was that Ilebaye had already secured the title of Big Brother Naija All Stars champion, a victory that came with a substantial 120 million Naira grand prize.

In his view, it appeared nothing short of foolish for her fams to pool their resources when she had already earned a substantial amount. Moreover, Otumba pointed out that some of these generous well-wishers might not even possess the financial means to contribute.

Recall that recently Ilebaye had shared a direct message (DM) she received from one of her fervent fans. According to the fan, many of Ilebaye’s former Big Brother Niger colleagues had a deep admiration for her, albeit from a distance. They had taken to emulating her style of dressing, mannerisms, and even the unique slangs she used.
