“How Iyanya cheated on me with Tonto Dikeh ” Yvonne Nelson spills

Ghanaian actress, Yvonne Nelson is currently on the lips of many with her new memoir which offers an inside look to her personal life and several relationships.

The award-winning actress has recounted her past relationship with Nigerian Afropop singer, Iyanya, and how he cheated on her with Tonto Dikeh.

Describing their relationship, Yvonne revealed that it was a dreamy one as Iyanya would always serve her breakfast in bed and had the assurance that her love for him was forever. Iyanya even took their love to the extreme when he tattoed her initials ‘YN’ on his wrist.

“We had a decent relationship breakfast in bed and all the niceties of a dream relationship one could think of. I had the assurance that he was someone I could be with forever. He tattoed my initials, YN, on his wrist, and I thought that was a big deal. If he wasn’t serious about it he wouldn’t do that. In his song, “Ur Waist”, he mentioned how he lusted over me”.

Unfortunately, their relationship hit the rocks after Yvonne got wind of his affair with Tonto Dikeh.

She claimed that she started receiving calls from an unknown person each time she left Iyanya’s place informing her that another actress, which happened to be Tonto Dikeh would visit and sometimes even spend the night.

“One can therefore imagine my shock when I returned to Ghana after one of my visits to Nigeria and someone called me from his house. The caller said anytime I left Iyanya’s place, another actress came over to him and sometimes slept over. The person felt strongly that something was going on between them and thought I should know. That actress turned out to be Tonto Dikeh of Nigeria, one of the female celebrities Iyanya named in his “Ur Waist” song”.

She added that when she was convinced about their affair, she had gone on Twitter, with Tonto responding to her with, “People changed and so did feelings, so move on”.

Yvonne further added that she heard more stories about what Iyanya did with some of his female crew members which convinced her that what happened between him and Tonto wasn’t an isolated incident. It was a pattern, his way of life.

As such, she didn’t see the need to keep fighting for him especially when she knew Tonto would end up with a similar fate.

Recall that Iyanya and Yvonne began dating in 2012, but the relationship hit the rock in 2015, after 3 years.

Iyanya finally addresses his breakup with Yvonne Nelson

Speaking on their break-up in a chat with MTV Base VJ Ehiz
on ‘Real Talk’, Iyanya opened up about their relationship.

He stated that they were still cool despite the break-up and confirmed that their relationship was very real, however, their celebrity status was a hindrance to their affair

“Yeah, we’re cool man, we’re cool, yeah. We dated big time. It was a Big proper relationship. Back on forth”.

On broke up: Now this is the problem…famous guy, famous girl. It’s hard man”.

On the aftermath of their breakup:

“When that Yvonne Nelson thing happened, I was not happy but then I will
look like Superman out there. I was not happy because everybody thought
I was the evil guy because her heart was broken, I looked evil.
