While counting down to her new age, Toke Makinwa reflected on her journey to 39. She reminisced how the past three years was a moment of pruning in her life.

She revealed that God took away dead weight in order for her to grow and wished never to be in an unsure phase in her life.

“Going into 39 feeling super blessed. The past 3 years of my life have been my pruning years. God stripped me of much dead weight when we pray for growth, we never talk about the shedding that has to happen. Little did I know that as he was removing, he was giving so much more back. It needed to happen.

God forbid I entered into this phase unsure of my purpose. I am so happy, so blessed, so thankful.”
