Former Minister to Launch New Football Club, Black Scorpion

Former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Sunday Dare, is well-known for his commitment to national development and the advancement of his motherland. With the formation of Black Scorpion Football Club, he has embarked on yet another crucial initiative.
Black Scorpion FC, based in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, will compete in the Nationwide League One (NLO) 1 division of Nigeria’s third-tier football league system.

The official unveiling event is slated for today, April 2nd, in Ogbomoso, and will be attended by the Soun of Ogbomoso, Oba Ghandi Olaoye, as the special guest of honor. The event will also feature prominent ex-Nigerian internationals such as Mutiu Adepoju, Seyi Olofinjana, and Dimeji Lawal.
Chief Dare has continuously demonstrated a strong commitment to Nigeria’s development and the well-being of his people.

Among his notable contributions, Chief Dare facilitated the refurbishment of basketball courts at LAUTEH and renovated the pavilion at Soun Stadium. He also sponsored the training of 40 coaches abroad, donated a 30-room ensuite hostel to Ayede Polytechnic, and provided 150,000 naira in cash relief to widows, the elderly, and women of the Ogbomoso Omolaso Society.

The formation of Black Scorpion FC marks another chapter in Chief Sunday Dare’s unwavering dedication to elevating communities and promoting development in Nigeria.
